DJI SDR Transmission 2 takes wireless video transmission to the next level with enhanced interference resistance, improved image quality and an extended transmission range. Even on busy production sets, it delivers a high-bitrate, low-latency video feed for dependable monitoring.
With a flexible TX/RX switchable design and compatibility with the Ronin series, professional wireless transmission and control capabilities are brought together in a compact, lightweight form factor.

1 TX to 8 RX With Control, Multi-Group Transmission
  • 1 TX to 8 RX With Control - A single transmitter can distribute its video feed to up to eight receivers, with remote control available for each connected unit. Directors and DPs can monitor a high-resolution feed, while camera operators and focus pullers can remotely adjust supported camera settings and functions.
  • Multi-Group Transmission - Multiple transmitters and receivers can work together within the same production environment, supporting up to five transmitters and 40 receivers simultaneously. This provides a flexible solution for complex multi-camera productions while maintaining stable wireless video transmission and 4K image quality.

Auto Channel 2.0
Auto Channel 2.0 simplifies frequency management by intelligently coordinating connected transceivers. When Auto Mode is enabled, the system identifies other units and automatically manages available frequencies.
Improved spectrum scanning and interference diagnostics help detect channel conflicts, allowing the system to change frequencies as conditions evolve. This helps maintain a stable wireless connection, even when several transmission systems are operating close together.


 SDR, Evolved 
  • DCI 4K Monitoring - SDR Transmission 2 supports DCI 4K/60fps video with 10-bit HDR and H.265 encoding at bitrates of up to 50 Mbps. The result is highly detailed footage with smooth colour transitions and clearly defined highlights and shadows, providing consistent image quality across multiple camera feeds.
  • Up to 4 km Range - With transmission distances of up to 4 km under suitable conditions, the system provides greater freedom for demanding production environments. From large stadiums and dense forests to vehicle-mounted cameras and FPV drone applications, it provides a reliable wireless connection across extended distances.
  • Latency as Low as 35 ms - Despite its high-quality video capabilities, latency can be as low as 35 ms. This helps keep live monitoring and remote commands responsive, including operations such as focus adjustments and gimbal movements.

 Compact Body, Serious Capability 
  • TX/RX Switchable - Switch between transmitter and receiver operation whenever your production requires it. There is no need to determine your TX-to-RX configuration in advance, allowing each unit to adapt to the requirements of the shoot.
  • Approx. 136g Unit - The transceiver features one HDMI port and two USB-C ports. At approximately 136 g, its lightweight construction helps reduce the load on handheld gimbals while making it easy to integrate into a wide variety of camera setups.
  • Expansion Plate - The Expansion Plate provides one SDI, one HDMI and four USB-C ports. It also supports SDI metadata transmission from compatible professional cinema cameras, including systems from ARRI and RED.
  • Transceiver Cage - For vehicle-mounted and outdoor applications, the Transceiver Cage provides additional protection and multiple mounting points. It securely attaches the transceiver to a wide range of gimbals, rigs and other production equipment.

Ronin Ecosystem and Beyond
  • Compact Systems - SDR Transmission 2 integrates with DJI RS series stabilizers, providing a streamlined combination of wireless monitoring and gimbal control. Through the DJI Ronin app, users can monitor the camera feed, operate the gimbal remotely and start or stop recording from a compatible smartphone.
  • Pro Productions - Support for DJI Ronin 2 and Master Wheels enables precise remote control even when using larger cinema cameras on demanding setups. Operators can remain at the monitoring position while controlling camera movements on vehicle mounts, crane rigs and other complex configurations.
  • Action Angles - Connect supported Osmo Action or Osmo Pocket series devices via USB-C to introduce additional camera angles for sports, reality productions and other challenging shooting environments. Their compact form factor makes them ideal for capturing perspectives that may be difficult to achieve with larger camera systems.

Professional Monitoring and Control
  • Camera Switching - Switch between connected camera feeds without the need to restart the system, scan for devices or establish a new connection. Camera feeds can be changed directly from the transceiver or through the DJI Ronin app, helping save valuable time during production.
  • Monitor Feed - Send an ultra-high-definition, low-latency video feed to professional monitors through SDI, HDMI or DP. This allows multiple monitoring stations to access a clean, high-quality image from the connected camera.
  • Mobile Feed - For mobile monitoring, connect a smartphone or tablet to the receiver via USB-C and view the feed through the DJI Ronin app. A wired connection provides a stable, high-bitrate feed for monitoring while moving around the set.

DJI Ronin App Monitoring Assistance Tools
The DJI Ronin app provides professional monitoring functions including LUT, histogram, waveform and false colour. These tools give filmmakers additional image information, helping them assess exposure and other image characteristics more accurately during production.

Power Supply Solutions
  • NP-F Power Supply - The transceiver supports standard NP-F battery types with an operating voltage range of 6.8 to 8.4 V, providing a familiar power solution for professional camera rigs.
  • USB-C Power Supply - SDR Transmission 2 can also be powered through USB-C using a standard PD-compatible charger. Power input is rated at 15 V/9 V and 3 A, depending on the connection method.
  • Gimbal Power - The integrated power supply design allows the transceiver to be mounted to and powered directly by compatible DJI equipment, including DJI RS 5, RS 4 Pro, RS 4, RS 3 Pro, Ronin 2 and Master Wheels. This can remove the need for a separate battery in compatible configurations and helps keep the overall camera setup streamlined.
